It would be
appreciated if all those attending any Portsmouth Motocross Club meeting
would kindly read the following notices, which are of direct interest
and concern to them.
WARNING
MOTOR SPORT IS DANGEROUS AND PERSONS ATTENDING THE MEETING DO SO
ENTIRELY AT THEIR OWN RISK
It is a condition of admittance that all persons having any connection
with the promotion and/or conduct of the meeting, including the
landowners, and drivers of the vehicles are absolved from all liability
arising out of accidents however caused in damage and/or personal injury
to spectators or ticket holders.
THERE WILL BE NO RIDING IN THE PADDOCK
Bikes to be pushed at walking pace to the start/finish area. Any rider
who is seen to be riding bikes at speed in these areas will risk loss of
points, and if seen on a second occasion, sent home. Your attention is
drawn to the serious consequences which could arise from an accident
caused by the unauthorised riding in the paddock.
DOGS
Under no circumstances are dogs allowed within the precinct of the
course. This ruling will be strictly enforced. Dogs are to be kept on a
lead at ALL times. Please clean up after your dog.
CROSSING THE COURSE
Under no circumstances should you cross the course whilst racing is in
progress. At such times when it is permissible to cross the course, a
marshal will indicate where it is safe to do so.
NUMBERS / COLOURS
All riders must be on their bikes, have the correct riding number and
coloured numbers/background for their riding group. Numbers must be
clear and visible.
PROTESTS
ALL PROTESTS MUST BE IN WRITING with a fee of £50.
MARSHALLING
All parents/guardians may be called upon to carry out marshalling duties
for part of the meeting. Failure to do so when asked will render your
rider subject to exclusion.
PUSHBIKES
No pushbikes allowed within the precinct of the course.
RULES
AND KEY POINTS
THAT MUST BE UPHELD
1. RIDING IN THE PITS
Any rider riding in the pits, in any shape or form within the pit area,
will have their race points taken away.
A repeat offence will mean suspension from the next race meeting.
2. SPECTATORS TRACKSIDE
You must stay WITHIN the clearly marked spectator areas; this is for
your own safety and the safety of the riders on the track. Riders do not
need too much assistance. Only signed-on officials are allowed on the
track. NO PERSONS ALLOWED BEYOND THE BLUE ROPING.
3. CORRECT BACKGROUNDS
You must have the correct coloured backgrounds for your group and your
correct riding number. If you do not, your bike will not be passed and
you will be unable to ride.
4. RIDERS RESPONSIBILITY
It is the riders responsibility to make sure that lap scorers can
identify them.
