REPORT
“Good Evans”

Glorious
sunshine followed a very wet evening with the West Meon track eventually
drying out for the last block of racing.
The
Inter Open class were first out with the overall result being decided in the
last race. Daniel Latham, at only
12 years old, showed the older boys the way home with a convincing last race
win. Lewis Abbott finished in 2nd,
Charlie Hughes 3rd, Joe Cundle 4th, Bobby Ellins 5th
and Jake Hassell in 6th.
The
Autos were out next, all engines screaming and clutches burning as they
struggled through the deep mud. Rick
Muscat again took first overall, Max Acres (being cheered on by Mr London
Diamond Drillings Roy Emberson) took 2nd followed by Dylan Hodgkins
in 3rd after a first race win.
Harvey Clements claimed 4th, Jamie Strange 5th
and Joshua Coleman took a well-deserved 6th.
The
Juniors didn’t let the show down with the overall result again hinging on
the last race as Lloyd Pettett and Liam Garland battled for top honours after
sharing a win a piece in the first two races.
Lloyd took the overall by winning the last race from Liam.
Oliver Osmaston rode hard all day and achieved a well-earned 3rd
overall from Ryan Monckton in 4th, Andrew Hutchison 5th
and Darren Wingar 6th.
Jackson
Evans looked unstoppable in the Inter 85 class taking three comfortable wins
ahead of Jake Shipton with three 2nd places.
Joe Crocker finished 3rd, George Gough in 4th and
an unlucky Tom Ellwood in 5th with two 3rd places and a
13th after starting race two a lap down.
Oliver Rusby still riding his way back to fitness finished 6th.
The
AMX and VMX charged together with a flying John Ford taking first overall from
Sam Simmons in 2nd, despite a disappointing last race.
Dan Umlandt returned to finish 3rd with Chad Sait leading
home the VMX pack in 4th, Chris Southcott 5th and Martin
Bradbury 6th.
Last
but certainly not least were the Seniors with Nicky Watts taking the overall
in great style despite having to work hard for second place in race one after
a poor start. Sean Barnsdale,
impressive as ever, took 2nd overall from Ben Anstie in 3rd.
Dan Goodwin finished in 4th, Luke Priddle 5th and
Dan Brackenbury showing dad Paul the way to do it with a great 6th
overall.
