ON RACE DAY

Free camping from 2pm Saturday
Dogs are allowed (except for any meetings held at Cusses Gorse) but are to be kept on a lead at all times

NO BIKES ARE TO BE STARTED BEFORE 9AM SUNDAY (THIS INCLUDES SATURDAY – NO BIKES TO BE STARTED!!)

NO OSSET BIKES ARE ALLOWED AT ANY PORTSMOUTH EVENT

Signing on is between 8am-9am Sunday morning

Rebecca Warren – signs in Autos, Juniors and SW85
Sherry Rogers – signs in BW85 and Rookies
Kay Kennedy – signs in adults – MX1/MX2/VMX

ROOKIE / ADULT RIDERS – 18 YEARS OR OVER

If a Rookie or Adult rider is 18 years or over, THE RIDER must sign the signing on sheet

RIDERS UNDER 18 YEARS OF AGE

A parent or guardian of the rider must sign the signing on sheet if the rider is under 18 years of age.  No rider under the age of 18 is permitted to sign themselves on

MCF LICENCES

MCF Licences MUST be shown at signing on or the rider will be charged for a Day Licence

Membership forms and payments can be left with Kay at signing-on (please leave in an envelope in the box next to her)

There is no technical control (scrutineering) at Portsmouth MX Club events

A rider’s brief takes place just after 9am at signing on – ALL RIDERS ARE REQUIRED TO ATTEND!

First practice session normally starts at 9.30am

Practice session – 2/3 laps of the circuit

Racing – 3 blocks of racing per group

PRACTICE/RACE ORDER will be posted on the PMXC (Portsmouth MX Club) Official Page
Please make sure you take all your rubbish home
NO RIDING IN THE PITS – IF YOU ARE CAUGHT YOU WILL BE SENT HOME!!
Auto/Junior Trackside – please remember to go to the marshal point the same as the number on your bib. If you are found to be following your own rider around the track, you will be asked to return to the spectator area.

ALL SPECTATORS MUST STAY BEHIND ROPING/METAL BARRIERS

MARSHALLING

Portsmouth Motocross Club has a group of marshals who will cover marshal points at all meetings.  Therefore, a marshal will not be required by any rider

RESULTS

RESULTS POSTED ON THE POINTS BOARD are provisional on the day

Discrepancies on the results must be notified to the Chief Point’s person or Debbie Upton within 30 minutes of the final race of the day

No amendments will be made after 7pm on race day

The Chief Points person’s decision is final

All results will be sent to the website administrator on the Monday following the meeting, and dependant on the administrators commitments, results should be posted on the website by no later than Wednesday

All points awarded at a meeting will be printed in the next race programme and on the PMXC website.  This is to allow riders and parents to keep track of their points throughout the year.

NO rider will be able to gain access to overall points from the Chief Points person, and the rider’s overall position will not be provided at any time throughout the year

RIDERS TYING ON POINTS

If any riders tie on points, it is the rider who has obtained the highest position in the LAST race who takes the higher position.

CUTTING THE COURSE

If the rider cuts the course, NO Points will be awarded

To qualify for a finish, the rider plus their machine cross the finish line unaided and without having left the marked course

LAPSCORING

The lapscorers must NOT be disturbed during any race

If lapscorers are unable to read numbers, the rider will not be scored

If the rider is riding a different bike with a different number, an official must be made aware, preferably at signing on.  If nobody is notified, the rider will not be scored
